One giant leap--for gender sensitivity?

Counter It's been forty-two years since Humanity went to the Moon. When the first person stepped off the Eagle onto the Sea of Tranquility, they said, "That's one small step for [a] human, one giant leap for Humankind."

Or at least, that's how it would read in the NNIV.

But the stubborn fact remains, only Men have ever been to the moon. And they went as representatives of "All Mankind."
